This is Part 1 of my three part NFL Mock Draft, my opinion of how things are going to shake out. I will provide a complete First round mock, as well as a live chat in the posting forum the day of the NFL Draft and it will go through the first round. I will be there to break down all of the draft coverage and answer any questions that you have on any of the prospects. Here are my top 10 selections in the 2007 Entry draft.
1. Oakland Raiders: Calvin Johnson, Wide Receiver, Georgia Tech.
This is the pick that makes the most sense for the Raiders. Johnson is an impact player that should be able to play right away. I could see the Raiders making a play for Daunte Culpepper once he gets released from Miami. If that were to happen, this move would make a lot of sense. Culpepper would have Johnson, Moss and Jerry Porter to throw to if the offensive line can protect him.
2. Detroit Lions: Joe Thomas, Offensive Tackle, Wisconsin.
Not flashy, but I think this is the pick if the Lions dont trade down. If both QBs are still on the board I could see Minnesota making a play to move up to #2. Although I doubt the Lions would want to do a division rival any favors.
3. Cleveland Browns: Brady Quinn, Quarterback, Notre Dame.
Not saying this is the right way to go at quarterback, but I think the Browns will make Quinn their selection at No. 3
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Amobi Okoye, Defensive Tackle, Louisville.
Okoye seems to me like a perfect fit in Tampa and the admittance of marijuana use as a freshman shouldnt hurt his draft stock at all.
5. Arizona Cardinals: Jamaal Anderson, Defensive End, Arkansas.
Arizona needs help along both of their lines. If Joe Thomas falls here, I think the Cardinals would be all over him. If they want to trade down, they could make a play for Levi Jones in the back end of Round 1.
6. Washington Redskins: Gaines Adams, Defensive End, Clemson.
Adams could be very dominant and would fit well in Washington under Gregg Williams and his blitzing schemes.
7. Minnesota Vikings: JaMarcus Russell, Quarterback, LSU
Russell reminds me a lot of Daunte Culpepper with his size and enormous arm strength. If he falls to Minnesota at seven, the Vikings have to grab him.
8. Atlanta Falcons (from Texans): LaRon Landry, Safety, LSU.
Atlanta needs a playmaking safety and this is the guy that can be that for the Falcons.
9. Miami Dolphins: Dwayne Bowe, Wide Receiver, LSU.
Playmaking receiver that will fit in well under new head coach Cam Cameron.
10. Houston Texans (from Falcons): Adrian Peterson, Running Back, Oklahoma.
This would be ideal for the Texans as Peterson could come in and start right away and make the Texans fans forget that they couldve had Reggie Bush.

Sports drinks like Gatorade and others are flavored fluids fortified with electrolytes, potassium and sodium, all which are lost by the body during intense exercise. However, its is unlikely according to most experts that the loss of your bodies stores of these minerals is anything to worry about unless you are doing intense workouts of 3-5 hours or longer. In the long intensity activities of 3-5+ hours, the athlete can be at risk for over hydration called hypoantremia, due to drinking excess water without proper sodium replacement.
For youth football player practicing 2-2 1/2 hours at a time, the biggest danger seems to come from not drinking enough fluids. Numerous studies have shown that kids will drink more of a sport drink that normal water. So compared to water, sports drinks are better as the player will stop drinking water much sooner than a sports drink.
Youth football players should drink at least 16 ounces of fluids at least 2 hours before the activity and another 48 ounces during a typical 2 hour practice.
Energy drinks should be avoided. Anything with caffeine like Red Bull will give your youth football player a quick buzz and burst of energy, as Red Bull has the amount of caffeine equal to about 2 cups of coffee. But the energy buzz is very short lived and the player is then left in a lethargic state. The caffeine actually acts as a diuretic and robs the body of fluids, adding to the dehydration caused by heavy activity. Make sure your parents know this and do not allow their kids to use these types of drinks before, during or even after practices.
Numerous scientific studies have shown that a well hydrated player will play with greater intensity, speed and with much higher concentration levels than a poorly hydrated player.
Make sure your players are well hydrated. Ask them to bring water bottles or jugs with their names on them to make your breaks flow smoother and to avoid confusion. Its usually pretty hot for most of us during that first month of practice, this can be a life or death situation for some players. Always error on the side of safety. Dont neglect to push fluid replacement even during cold weather games in November, something many youth football coaches forget about.

QBs
Joey Harrington, Miami Dolphins 414 pass yds, 2 TDs, 3 INTs
Daunte Culpepper was supposed to make Miami a Super Bowl contender, but he hasnt lived up to the player he once was and eventually got hurt again. In his place while he recovers is once promising Joey Harrington. The 414 passing yards from Sunday sure looks impressive, but that came from 62 pass attempts. He completed 33 of those for a 53% completion rate, not exactly awe inspiring. To his defense though, two of those interceptions came on tipped balls & 7 seven of his passes were dropped. In any case, dont go racing to waiver wire to pick him up. His performance came against a putrid Green Bay secondary and outside of a game against Detroit; the rest of Miamis schedule isnt very favorable. Will Culpepper reclaim the starting job once he returns? Who knows, but I do know not to buy into this situation. PASS
Mark Brunell, Washington Redskins 226 pass yds, 2 TDs
Mark Brunell has been one of the most inconsistent Fantasy QBs this year. Hell do well against good secondaries and then play horrible against bad ones. While Indianapolis doesnt have a great secondary, they arent bad either, and he managed to get 226 yards & 2 touchdowns. The offensive coordinator, Al Saunders, was supposed to spark this Washington offense, but for some reason he hasnt done so. One might look no further than his inability to correctly use Santana Moss. They are constantly using short routes; however their best receiver is an awesome deep threat. All things considered, Brunell is an intriguing pickup because of the favorable schedule he has the rest of the way & he has the tools on offense to put up better numbers. Cant recommend him as a starter, but he certainly is worthy of a roster spot as a backup if you are in need of one. BUY
Jon Kitna, Detroit Lions 269 pass yds, 3 TDs, 2 INTs
If you look at the top fantasy QBs, you will see Jon Kitna on that list. Wait, Jon Kitna? Surprisingly enough, he hasnt thrown for less than 225 in a game this year and has 10 total touchdowns in his last 5 games. On the other hand, hes also been consistent with turnovers by turning the ball over at least once in his last 6 games, a total of 12 turnovers overall. So unfortunately what you see is what you get with Kitna. His schedule is a mixed bag the rest of the way, but he does posses a very nice matchup against Green Bay during the Fantasy Football playoffs. If hes still available, grab him and put him on your bench. Hes worth the roster spot. BUY
David Carr, Houston Texans 224 pass yds, 2 TDs
David Carr has been one of the nicer stories in the NFL. Thought to be on the bubble for his job as the season began, hes compiled a nice 97.9 passer rating & completing 70% of his passes. While thats certainly starting QB worthy in the NFL, in the Fantasy Football world, we need more than that. If you throw out the Dallas game, Carr has been very consistent. He still plays with a poor offensive line, so instead of worrying about interceptions, youll still be worried about fumbles. He has some nice matchups mixed with some bad ones, so its hard to say what to expect the rest of the way. Carr plays on a poor team, but if they start playing better (like they just did against Jacksonville), then hed be worth a pickup down the road. WATCH
Charlie Batch, Pittsburgh Steelers 195 pass yds, 2 TDs
During the middle of the third quarter against the Falcons on Sunday, Ben Roethlisberger got knocked out of the game, allowing veteran Charlie Batch to come in and do some damage. Batch completed 8 of 13 passes for 195 yards & 2 TDs. This isnt the first time this season Batch has looked good. He started the season opener against Miami and threw for 209 yards and 3 touchdowns in that game. The Steelers offense doesnt seem to miss a beat when hes in, and personally I think he looks better than Roethlisberger does. Even if Batch finds more starts due to Roethlistbergers injuries, the schedule is not very favorable, though he did dismantle a good Falcons secondary. Pay attention to whats happening in Pittsburgh. Batch may be a nice play if he finds the time. WATCH
RBs
Leon Washington, New York Jets 129 rush yds, 2 TDs
It seems the New York Jets have finally decided on a starter in the form of Leon Washington. The rookie from Florida State is playing rather well, averaging 4.9 yards a carry & ran for his first 2 touchdowns last Sunday. While Jets head coach Eric Mangini says hell still share carries with Barlow, he did receive more on Sunday and itll be hard not to give him the football more based on his recent performances. Looking at the rest of the Jets schedule, 5 out of the 9 games are against poor run defenses. The only thing hurting Washington is that he may not receive the goal line carries, but you cant pass up a productive starting running back. BUY
Wali Lundy, Houston Texans 93 rush yds, 15 rec yds, 1 TD
Another rookie making some noise was Wali Lundy. He ran for 93 yards on only 19 carries and a TD. He didnt receive the start, but got more carries and was much more effective than Samkon Gado. Lundy has yet to receive the official label as starter but it could just be a matter time. Of course I would want to see more before deciding to pick him up, but Houstons schedule the rest of the way is FULL of poor run defenses. This situation bears your full attention. WATCH
Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars 10 rush yds, 58 rec yds, 1 TD
Another game, another touchdown for Maurice Jones-Drew. Though he only rushed for 10 yards on 8 carries against a poor run defense, he did get a total of 15 touches, showing that Jacksonville is including him heavily in the game plan. He now has 5 touchdowns in the last 4 games. Jacksonville also has a light schedule against run defenses & Fred Taylor always seems to get hurt sometime during the season. If hes still available, you should go get him now while you have the chance. BUY
WRs
Marty Booker, Miami Dolphins 110 rec yds, 1 TD
The Miami Dolphins offense threw the ball 62 times, and one of the beneficiaries was Marty Booker. But Im going to make this short and sweet; his performance came against a very ugly Green Bay secondary, he still hasnt separated himself from Derek Hagan or Wes Welker for more playing time & the quarterback situation is still unsettled. This is an anomaly. PASS
Mike Furrey, Pittsburgh Steelers 109 rec yds, 1 TD
Mike Furrey certainly surprised a lot of people by becoming the #2 wide receiver in Detroit. He played well again on Sunday, by hauling in 109 yards and a TD. Hes been a hot and cold receiver this season, looking good one week (82 yards & 2 TDs against St. Louis) and then looking average the next (80 combined yards against Minnesota & Buffalo). He hasnt played bad by any means, hes just been consistently mediocre. There arent many good matchups the rest of the way, but as long as hes starting in Detroit, he bears watching. WATCH
Marcus Robinson, Minnesota Vikings 77 rec yds, 1 TD
Marcus Robinson hauled in his third touchdown of the year and contributed 77 total receiving yards in the Vikings slaughter of the Seahawks. Robinson can be a nice deep threat from time to time, but he gets hurt too much & isnt the focal point in the Vikings offense. Pretend like you have never even heard the name before. PASS
Nate Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers 76 rec yds, 1 TD
Everybody got into the act in that high scoring affair against the Falcons, including Nate Washington. For the second straight week hes hauled in a touchdown and 65+ yards. Hes developing into a very nice #3 option for the Steelers, but that means nothing to your fantasy team. Hines Ward & Santonio Holmes are still ahead of him on the depth chart and both looked good on Sunday. Third receivers have no fantasy value. PASS

He finished the game 17-28 187 yards 2TDs and 1 INT. He continued to show his great escape ability as well as his arm strength and accuracy on any route that works the middle of the field. He continues to struggle with the long passes.I wish he was in a more wide open offense where I could see him complete... Can I Actually Watch The Superbowl Live Online? The Conundrum that is Brad Smith As we hit the midpoint of the Big 12 season, the title game picture is crystal clear in the South, yet still murky in the North. NCAA College Football Free Picks Week 3 Here are some free handicapped picks for college football Week 3.NORTH CAROLINA (-3) VS. Spring practices are in the books and fall camps will be here before you know it so that means getting an early jump on the 2006 NCAA football season. Knowing the teams now will save you time in August and Matt Fargo is here to help you get a grasp of what to expect this upcoming year. We go from worst to first in this 2006 College Football Preview.
#89 Air Force Falcons 4-7 SU; 5-6 ATS
Fargos Take There is talk out of Colorado Springs that this is likely the last season for legendary head coach Fisher DeBerry win or lose. The Falcons have suffered back-to-back losing seasons for the first time in the DeBerry era and things dont look much better in 2006 for that string to be broken. The defense has been the problem in each of the last two years, allowing more than 31 ppg during both seasons. It doesnt look like it will improve much this time around as it is once again a very undersized unit with not a lot of starting experience around. The offense was very good and it was the most balanced attack that DeBerry has ever had on the field. The Falcons averaged 170.7 ypg through the air but it will be difficult to match that output this year with a very green receiving corps. Air Force finished with seven losses a season ago but four of those were by three points or less. Those are the games that will need to be taken this year for there to be any chance of a winning campaign.
Returning Starters on Offense 6 The option attack remains the bread and butter of the offense but the 246.6 ypg on the ground was the lowest since 1997. There is no breakaway speed at running back and quarterback Shaun Carney averaged just 4.2 ypc, an average that is well below the standard for Air Force signal callers. The Falcons scored 35 or more points five times last season and their 30 ppg was good for 30th in the country. The top returning catch leader is halfback Chad Hill, who caught 16 passes a season ago so someone is going to have to step up on the outside if Carney is going to have a season through the air similar to that of last year. It likely isnt going to happen so the focus will be on the ground game and an offensive line that returns only one starter from last season.
Returning Starters on Defense 5 The defense had only two solid games last season, both of which ended up being a victory. The offense, although strong, was not able to keep up with the opposition as the defense surrendered 31.7 ppg, 100th in the country. Total defense ranked 98th in the nation and the Falcons simply couldnt get the ball from their opponents as their 17 takeaways were near the bottom in the nation. Only five starters are back and three of those need to replaced along the defensive line. Defensive end Gilberto Perez is an All-MWC possibility but other than that, there is not a lot in the cupboard. Air Force was 112th in the country in passing efficiency defense and that will have to improve immensely for it to compete in the conference where there will be a lot of solid passing attacks coming their way.
Schedule The Falcons start the season at what looks to be a very improved Tennessee squad which is then followed by their conference opener at Wyoming, a team that will be doing some rebuilding. Three straight home games are after that including a non-conference game against Navy, their first in the Commander-in-Chief Trophy series. Air Force then rotates home and road games until a pair of daunting home games against Notre Dame and Utah arrive in mid-November. The season ends with roadies at UNLV and TCU. Its not the most difficult of slates but it certainly is not easy especially with the Volunteers and Fighting Irish part of it.
You can bet on The kids will give everything they have for DeBerry in what looks to be his final season with the Falcons. Three straight losing seasons will mean he wont be going out in his own power but with what he has done for the program, announcing his firing isnt going to happen as it will be handled in a different matter. Air Force has not had a winning ATS record in the last three seasons but this could be the year that changes. There are not a lot of high expectations for the Falcons this year meaning they will likely be seeing a good number of points throughout the season. The value should be on their side most of the time but with a defense that is likely going to struggle once again, they will be leaving the front door wide open.

Here are some free handicapped picks for college football Week 3.
NORTH CAROLINA (-3) VS. Virginia: North Carolinas offense has the look of a somewhat effective unit for the first time in years and that is due to the ability of new QB TJ Yates. NCs 10-4 yards/pass play is indicative of this improvement and this should bode well for the Heels as they play an underachieving Virginia team coached by the embattled Al Groh. The Cavaliers have a decent defense and they should be close in this one for most of the game but their inconsistent offense will undermine them again in front of hostile fans. The key stat here is that Virginia is only 11-23 ATS on the road (which includes 6-21 ATS under Groh). The Cavs clearly get rattled outside of their surroundings so look for the Tar Heels to get the victory. THE PICK: North Carolina (-3)
VIRGINIA TECH (-21) VS. Ohio: The big news for Tech is the insertion of heralded freshman QB Tyrod Taylor in place of the struggling Sean Glennon. This move was one that Hokies coach Frank Beamer just couldnt wait any longer to do as the 0-2 start have destroyed all ideas of a national championship season. Taylor however is very talented and has the blend of speed and arm strength to spark the Hokies to a nice win over a weak offensive Ohio team. Tech is also 38-16-1 ATS at home as a favorite of less than 25 which included 18-3 against non-conference foes. Go with the Hokies based on this trend along with the spark of being at home with a new QB. THE PICK: Virginia Tech (-21)

Most students play some sport or the other during their school days and in America, football is an obvious choice. This sport seems to have originated in England then moved to USA when some students from Princeton first began playing it in the college field. In order to buy college football ticket, the person must make sure to touch base with the college or the website that sells them. One can both go for regular season or playoffs and buy college football ticket for the relevant matches. And all the teams that play in these games are as professionally qualified as Super bowl players. This is what makes these games so popular and in demand. The colleges today encourage students to play this sport as it is worldwide recognized and they could get scholarships while applying for colleges.
The college football is played in smaller stadiums, which have benches for seats for those, present to witness the game. The team has a coach and goes through everything that a state level team follows. Only difference being these players are all students and much younger than league players. Also the college athletes are not paid a salary unlike the professional players, but they are entitled to any kind of financial assistance from their university. Most of the public schools today are part of the college football and seem to outdo the private teams. Anyone interested in sports will vouch for the fact that this game has most fun and is more nerve wrecking till the end.
Since the college football matches begin 2-3 weeks after the NFL matches, buying college football ticket is not much of a problem. In these games, there are no playoffs but only super bowls to determine who the winner is. And the very first Bowl game that was played was way back in 1902 between Stanford and Michigan and called the Rose Bowl. After this, there have been many bowl leagues played by the college teams in America slowly gaining popularity for this event. In all there are about four bowl games played at the end of which is the Grand finale, the All stars championships which takes place in January every year.
A game so famous that it is telecast by almost all sports channels draws crowds from various parts of the country. All of whom have been lucky to buy college football tickets and be present to root for their teams. The sport is indeed filled with excitement and anxious fans waiting to see who the winner will be. In this game, one cannot predict who the winner will be as every game is different and so for a person who wants to buy college football tickets for a particular season, he will get to be a part of the entire action in store.

With the 2006 NFL Draft coming up at the end of next month (April 29 and 30), fans are asking, what they should expect and if there will be any big surprises this year. To answer these questions, lets take a look at the players, teams, and negotiations that are highlighting this years event.
Reggie Bush is looking like the first-round favorite. Bush, who played running back for USC, is a great all-around athlete. Hes versatile too; equally skilled in running, receiving, and returning. Vince Young garnered national attention when his Wonderlic test score was originally reported as a 6; it turned out to be an unexceptional 16, so look for this talented quarterback from Texas to be tapped in the top five. Another quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart from Southern Cal, gave up being last years #1 draft choice to finish school. This savvy player will be snapped up early in the proceedings. DBrickashaw Ferguson, an offensive tackle from Virginia, should go quickly as well due to the fact hes little, but nimble, and extremely fast.
At 2-14, the Houston Texas will make this seasons first pick. Look for them to beef up their struggling offensive line. The New Orleans Saints, in the number two spot, is looking for a strong young quarterback to take over. Third pick goes to the Tennessee Titans, who are looking to rebuild after last years salary cap reorganization. Fifth-seated New York Jets could use a strong offensive tackle, but will likely choose a more dependable QB in the first round.
The biggest League news so far this year is that the owners and the Players Association still have had trouble reaching a labor contract agreement. The free-agency deadline has already been pushed back by three days to give all parties time to cool off. Fans are watching this dispute closely, hoping that the NFL doesnt go the way of Major League Baseball.

Pulling all the chairs in the house in front of the big screen, tapping the keg, the burgers sizzling on the grill, setting up the beer pong table…..ahh the sights and sounds of another Gator football season. College football is back. It never fails to bring a smile to my face. The Gators kicked off their 2007 schedule against Western Kentucky in the Swamp this past Saturday. University Avenue came to life for the first time since January. Everything pretty much went according to plan with the Gators coming away with a 49-3 victory in a weather-shortened game. Overall, I was really happy with the way the team played.
The offense was definitely on point. In his first career start quarterback Tim Tebow showed just how well he can throw the ball. He threw for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns in just about the most economic way possible going 13-17. Sophomore wide receiver Riley Cooper had a breakout game catching for 122 yards including 2 touchdowns. Andre Caldwell and Percy Harvin also had some good catches. In the first half especially it seemed almost too easy for the Gators, as the Hilltoppers could not keep up on defense. Hopefully we can stay as explosive come the Tennessee game in two weeks.
On the other side of the ball, you really cant complain when your defense lets up only 3 points in the entire game. Still, they could have played a little bit better. They gave everyone a scare in the first quarter when it looked as if the Hilltoppers might be the first to score after a long drive downfield. Luckily, our youngsters were able to come up with a big stop on a 4th and 1 play to end the drive. Urban Meyer said after the game that the defense missed a lot of assignments and needed to improve. This was the first game though, so hopefully now that they have gotten their feet wet they will be able to build off their mistakes.
Next game is this weekend at home against Troy. While many fans probably arent too familiar with Troy, they actually arent as bad as they sound. I heard they played FSU really tough last year. Speaking of FSU, many thanks for losing to Clemson in your season opener last night and giving us Gators even more evidence that we are the only elite team left in the state of Florida.
Appreciate any comments, more Gator Football talk coming next week.

The Fall of Troy Tim Tebow played the part of Achilles as the Gators improved to 2-0 after defeating the Troy Trojans this past Saturday in Gainesville. The Gators had a pretty amazing first half. They scored on all seven of their 1st half possessions and brought the score to 49-7 as they went into the tunnel. It was quite the impressive performance. The Gators wer... Ohio State vs Florida - The BCS Got it Right Much of the country is in the midst of the first real cold snap of the season. But youd never know it from the hot air coming out of Michigan. Lots of upset people blowing a lot of steam over nothing. The final computer and human rankings were thrown into the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) cauldron and low and behold a live Gator was pulled out. ... Rebels Give Gator Nation a Scare This week the Gators learned first hand why the SEC is regarded as the toughest conference in the country. It seemed everybody, including myself, thought this would be a relatively easy game for us. Coach Meyer knew better. He knew that anytime you go on the road in this conference you are in for a battle. The Ole Miss Rebels definitely were up... Trick Offensive Football Plays Throughout a football game the majority of offensive plays that will be run will be fairly basic. However, once in a great while an offense will decide to pull a trick play. Things that athletes are doing with their free time are asinine. A bevy of these occurrences have transpired to a wide variety of athletes. The first event that comes to mind is about the Cincinnati Bengals. If I were to list all of the NFL players who have been arrested on that team, I would have to spend an eternity in front of a computer (just like those nerds who play Warcraft and have no life).
Keeping track of the number of Bengals who have been arrested is the equivalent of keeping track of the number of times Paris Hilton has been called a hoochie. How many arrests have there been on the Bengals roster? I feel like every single time I watch a Cincinnati Bengals game, it is like watching an episode of Cops. A former Pacer and current Warrior Stephen Jackson has been another player that has been in trouble with the law.
Apparently, there was an incident at a strip club. He brought a gun to the night club. My question is who the hell brings a gun to strip club? Was he going to shoot the striper that refused to give him a lap-dance? Pacman Jones is another NFL who has had his share of blunders over his life. I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS GUY! He was arrested for charges of assault and felony vandalism at a nightclub. Jones brought a total of over $ 80,000 to the strip club. For $ 80,000 you have to find a striper with a gorgeous body to die for, and he did just that.
No, Pacman Jones is not dead. However, he can no longer get paid to do what he loves to do which very similar to dying. At some point, the Titans have to sever ties with this nuisance to society because he is a liability. Tank Johnson is yet another athlete who has had his conflicts with law enforcement. His property was searched, and a plethora of guns were found. Why the hell would need all those weapons? Was he planning to go fight in Iraq? Was he trying to protect someone affiliated with the witness protection program? I hope Walter Payton is not rolling over in his grave.

The entire of the Super Bowl is not just focused on purely football. Of course, there are the halftime shows, which have been quite great attractions as well, with all the popular musical acts and artists performing.
During the earlier days of the Super Bowl, the halftime shows that were features just consisted of some marching bands of the local high schools or colleges. However, as the popularity of the Super Bowl increased through the years, the potential of exposure has also increased. Because of this, popular singers and other musicians came to perform at pre-game ceremonies and halftime shows. Sometimes, they would just sing the U.S. National Anthem, which is the Star-Spangled Banner.
At the Super Bowl XL, there were a couple of outstanding performances. Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Joss Stone performed at the pre-game ceremony. Aaron Neville, Dr. John and Aretha Franklin sang the Star-Spangled Banner. And at the halftime show, the Rolling Stones gave an unforgettable performance.
Also a memorable performance was the performance of U2 in 2002. It was a special tribute to the 9/11 victims so as the band sang their second song, the names of the victims were scrolled on a large projection screen.
Another controversial halftime show was at the Super Bowl XXXVIII. Justin Timberlake accidentally removed a piece of what Janet Jackson was wearing, which exposed her right breast and showed her star shaped ring. They repeated that it was just a “wardrobe malfunction”. That particular game was aired live on CBS and the halftime show was produced by MTV, which was a sister company of CBS under Viacom.
After that, pictures and videos of the incident quickly circulated online. Due to the incident, NFL prohibited MTV from producing another halftime show. The FCC also tightened their controls regarding indecency and fined CBS for $225,000, including the other stations that were owned and operated by CBS. The following year, however, the halftime show was totally uncontroversial, as Paul McCartney performed.
